Yesterday I “unveiled” three new YouTube videos for my song WHEN PARIS CRIES on my YouTube Channel and my Facebook music page. November 13, 2016 will be the one-year anniversary of the tragic attacks on Paris. The shock I felt at the time and the reassurance that came with the world’s response was the basis for writing the song. For me it was a compelling need.
As most songwriters do, WHEN PARIS CRIES was “work-shopped” and “critiqued”. On that basis, with distinct opposing responses, there evolved two versions: one with interludes and one without! There is a 20 second difference but the interludes provide a different feel.
There are also two different YouTube videos of WHEN PARIS CRIES based on the two different audio versions. Again, the opinions were distinct between the two versions as to the visuals.
And finally, there is a simple YouTube “lyric version” accompanying the WHEN PARIS CRIES version without the interludes. In the lyric version, the French/Franglais is translated into very succinct English.
